Le Comptoir Colonial….. worth the journey

17 Feb

Yes indeed, Paris has lots of not so hidden places that are worth discovering…..
As I went rue Lepic to pick up some fish and flowers, I noticed a shop called Comptoir Colonial with gorgeous olives and decided to enter and have a look.
What a good idea indeed! They just happened to have all the ingredients I was looking for…. From Tamari to Smoked Paprika, Tahine, Preserved Lemons…. The only item missing was the halloumi…

They have a really great selection of teas, coffees, spices and exotic ingredients that you may look for when you are trying new recipes.

Do not hesitate to go there, it is really worth the journey and the manager of the shop is a really nice lady who knows her products very well. She’ll give you any advice you need.
